Roberta's Story
Life
I live in Guinda, I still love Capay Valley in the spring time. I have 3 children, Ryan 30, Dustin 27 and Rebecca 21. I also have a granddaughter Dasie 10. I have a woderfull man in my life now for 8 years, Jim. we got married in 2005. We own a trucking business and I am a registered nurse. So we stay busy. I love to garden and sew. We do alot of hunting, fishing and boating and just playing outside in the sun.
I am back in college...yet again working on an advanced nursing degree, my masters in nursing.. maybe ill go on and get a PhD? who knows...
Workplace
I love being a nurse. I worked real hard to get through college and become a nurse. I have worked many years in the emergency room and I have seen all the guts and gore. I used to be a trauma junkie and loved the excitement ...Expand for more
and rush you get just being involved in the busiest part of the hospital. When i left the ER. I managed a little clinic in vacaville and spend some time in the little clinic in Esparto. I loved it, I have cared for little sick children for so long in the ER, now i really enjoy being part of their well baby checkups. Yea, i still stick them with needles for their immunizations but being the one who give them stickers at the end of the visit has its rewards.
I love nursing.
since then I changed jobs I am now working at the prison in vacaville.
I am an RN in the release and recieving department. its fun.
I may specialize in the masters program in psych? not sure yet.
who knows. I miss working with children so that i think draws me back to urgent care or ER.
