Roberta's Story
Ok I was a bus/country student at ARHS , did not participate in may activities except school within the town, however I did make many good and still good friends by riding the bus for 21 miles to my home at the Lorneville beach. After school I moved to Ontario for a few years where I worked at many miscellaneous jobs before relocating to to USA to the greater Metropolitan New York area where spent 42 years mostly in sales and marketing business of electronics... enjoying the suburb and city life of NY and New Jersey before retiring to Killington Vermont in 1996 spent 4 years in the cold, damp skiing life that we loved so much and then discovered Utah... Mild (mostly) winters low humidity AWESOME summers dry, no bugs no humidity and beautiful golf courses. Life ...Expand for more
is tough but life in Utah seems to be VERY good to me. Love all the people I have met in the many areas I have lived and worked still friends with so many of them but mostly cherish the school pals that still keep in touch with me. Guess the old saying " you can take a girl off the farm but you cannot take the farm from the girl" definitely describes me....Ontario, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Vermont and Utah and I am STILL a country girl. HOWEVER I do like the good life of the city as well.
Update now have bought a cottage in southern Utah ( St George) where it is warm all year still live in mountains in summer but love my warm sunny winters and my golf Update again moved permanently to So Utah and will probably die here, Play golf at least 4 times a week
