Roberta's Story
I am currently Vice President, Sales, for the world's leading custom flutemaker, Verne Q Powell Flutes in Boston. I have been fortunate to live and travel in many countries and boy, do I have some stories to tell. I have been a music teacher K-college, played in orchestras in the US and UK and South Africa, had my own flute studio, managed a flute specialty company in Michigan and now am in the manufacturing end in Boston. I am in charge of worldwide sales and as such travel internationally monthly often with famous artists and manage our worldwide dealer network.
I am divorced, had 3 children, 2 of whom survive, and I am very proud of my 2 gorgeous, successful daughters, one is a micro biologist in cancer research and the other is ...Expand for more

After living in Minnesota for 2 years post undergraduate school, I moved to Maryland, Michigan, England, South Africa, Michigan and now Massachusetts, where I have been for the past 10 years. My children grew up overseas and came back to the States as teenagers, complete with English/South African accents and mannerisms. Believe it or not, I got into tennis, skiing, canoeing, and even ballroom dancing. Living here in New England is fabulous as I am 1 hour from the ocean and 2 hours from the mountains. Fantastic scenery and great cultural life in the city. I have an acre in the woods atop a hill and cope with deer, turkeys, coyotes, fox among other critters.
