Roberta's Story
Life
Right now, I'm raising two kids, which is challenging since one is 5 months old and I'm 38. Besides the whole mom thing, I'm working on selling a fantasy novel that is part of a series I'm working on. To anyone who knows me, it is no surprise that I'm a writer. I still read a lot, and as an experiment, I decided to write down all the books I'm reading for the year. My guess is I'll have read about 120 for the year. I'm pretty weird in my tastes. I like to read fantasy, science fiction, paranormal romances, mysteries, and nonfiction histories. I like to watch only a few shows on TV Battlestar Galactica, 24, Grey's Anatomy, the Unit, and Veronica Mars. My music tastes vary, but I still like pop music and Celtic is my big favorite these days ala Enya and Loreena McKennitt (you get bonus points if you know who the latter is).

glish who working on their associate's degrees. Again, no surprise there to anyone who knows me. My bachelor's was in English and Communication (aka journalism not speech). My master's in English. I thought about getting a PhD and sometimes I think about it some more, but I got burnt out back in my early 20's when I started to go for it. If I go back now, it'll be to get either a PhD in Creative Writing or a master's in history or a teaching certificate to teach English and history at the secondary level.
Other than that, I guess my life isn't really all that exciting for most people, but I'm happy although I'd be happier if we didn't live in Houston. But you go where the work is and San Antonio didn't pay too well for computer consultants, which is what my husband does for a living.
Some day I hope y'all will see my book on the shelves at Barnes and Noble and Borders.
