Roberta's Story
Last time I wrote about everything since high school. Now, there's some good things happening. We are expecting our first grandchild Oct 31 this year! Also, I have been traveling alot (vacation/fun) this year, I've been to FL several times during Feb-May. We recently returned from FL in August after a week spent 1/2 in Bradenton/Anna Maria Island & 1/2 in Crystal River (w/friends). Saw aligators, manatees, actually snorkeled 3 sisters springs (where the manatees migrate every winter as the water there is at a constant 72 degrees), saw dolphins every day at the beach in FL. Amazing & fun. Last week we were in Palm Desert, CA. One of our favorite places - it's hot, but who cares when there's great pools everywhere w/eating places and swim up bars?!! ings has great live music nightly at many outdoor restaurants! Daughter's baby shower was Sunday, she's looking pregnant - so I guess it isn't a dream! However, on the downside (kinda) we may be moving to FL (husband job transfer possibility) so a bit anxious about living there vs visiting :) Esp with the baby on the way and our kids both being up here (our son transferred from FL and is commuting to DePaul's law school in Chicago via train from LaFox 4 days a week.) It is an inexpensive place to get to from Chicago, so we're hoping to see the kids alot, even if we have to fly them down or fly up. Summer's ending, time to be looking for cooler weather - ugh!! Best thing about winter is curling up on the couch w/a fire in the fireplace and watching the snow fall! Happy Fall! --Bobbie
