Robin's Story
So, now it's Sept of '21 and things have been about the same. Hard to believe I've settled down and have lived in one spot for 15 years or better. I enjoy being close to nature and away from large numbers of people. I still pursue photography and write a little although my photo work has become a hobby. Free at last to do what I want, create whatever my mind comes up with.
I'm on my third dog since HS and still miss the first one the most. I wonder how many people feel that way about spouses? Kids? Possibly. Hope not, but I did live a few years worrying about the proverbial knock on the door. We lived in a wild time, didn't we? Well, we think we did but to be truthful, times before ours were much rowdier than we think. We weren't that special I guess.
My favorite singer is still Leonard Cohen but female Celtic runs a close second, perhaps tied with classical. I find any of these three are good background music for creativity. I'm surprised I haven't worn out Leonard's "Recent Songs," or "Women of the World/Celtic" yet.

I have a lot of time to myself, especially late nights or early mornings since I still run on roughly four to six hours of sleep. I think that's a habit I developed in the military. I hope other past schoolmates have had adequate personal time. It sucks to spend so much of one's time in pursuit of the holy dollar, shunning the wonders and enjoyments of life. I imagine, without any true experience, that this is where kids and grandkids come into play. Little people that we rejoice in and share many free hours loving and caring for and in return, reaping the same as a premium. Ah well, to each their own, eh?
There's been ups and downs in life of course, that's the nature of life. I guess if I were asked, I'd say that I'd do it again. Should this be how the universe works, wouldn't it be grand if we could recall what we did prior to the next go around? I'd try to grab onto my soulmate earlier in life simply because we all need someone to bug. I'd also stick with the same type of dog as my first.
Peace to all, may your life be sweet.
