Robin's Story
Okay, so here goes - after Brookfield I went to Queen's University and graduated with an Honours Degree in English and Theatre - moved to Toronto and became one of the acting company of the inaugural year at Tarragon - was in the groundbreaking production of David Freeman's "Creeps". Spent the next decade having the great privilege of being involved in Canada's new playwrights development - David Freeman, David French, David Tipe, Sheldon Rosen. Then toured with the National Arts Centre in Ottawa studying clown with Richard Pachinko - made life long friends there - then continued performing across Canada in New Brunswick, Blyth, Hamilton, Vancouver, Charlottetown, etc. Played "Toppy Bailey" in "Wind at My ...Expand for more
Back" for six seasons and one Christmas Special garnering a Gemini award for Best Actress. Was a member of the Shaw Festival Company for six seasons - "The Women", "Cavalcade", "Tons of Money", "Getting Married" "Fanny's First Play", among others. Married playwright, David S. Craig in 1980 and have two grown children - Lorna, 27 and Andrew 30. Lorna is finishing her degree at Concordia in Theatre in Development and Andrew is the lead singer of the group Tiny Danza. I've been blessed. Still keep in touch with my best friend from highschool, Pat Robinson who now lives in Australia. Many good memories of Brookfield - I actually performed there with a touring show and some of the teachers were still there!
