Robin is from West Union, Ohio. She is married with Con Jager. Her schools include Hernando High School. She later attended University of South Florida (English/Criminal Justice) and graduated from law school at Gonzaga University School of Law in 1982.. She works(ed) at Russell, Wagg, Gabbert & Budzinski, Shutts & Bowen LLP, Arthur Andersen & Co.. She practices workers' compensation defense law in Anchorage, Alaska and was named a "Super Lawyer" in the field of workers' compensation for Alaska in 2012. She is married to a Dutchman, Con Jager, and has 3 children including Tim Gabbert and Willem & Marieke Jager (twins). Books she likes include The Twelve and The Passage by Justin Cronin, books by Haruki Murakami, many mysteries/ police procedurals (especially British), and poetry.
