Robin's Story

Life Hello Fellow Patriots:) Been traveling the world on Uncle Sugars dime. I left the lovely state of Wash when I joined the Air Force in Nov 84. Went to Texas then Colorado for more training then was stationed Holloman AFB New Mex. Well that wasnt what I liked so I volunteered for Korea and got it. Was in Korea March 87 to Feb 88. Well good ole Uncle Suger gave me Clark AB the PI for a follow on. I was there from 88 to 91. I left a couple months before the volcano erucpted. While I was there I was married and by the grace of God got my first child ( Stephanie who is 19 now). We left in 91 and I was stationed in Lousiania ( England AFB ) for about 11 months till they shut that place down ( base closures and all). Well I was sent to Germany and what a wonderfull 3 years that was. Europe is something to experiance. When you walk or drive into a town and see that it was established in 1485 and its still around and so beutifull. Well it just makes you feel good and the food is just great if not fantastic. Of course being in Germany meant trips to other countries were just a few hours drive away. Holand, Austria, Swiss, France and Italy. Just the cost of gas and a hotel and food of course. Well who am I kidding I love my beer and wine too and it doesnt get better than there. They are very strict on what is used and how it is made over there. No garbage in so no gargabe out. Well ther are of course bad people, even there but all in all a positive experiance. Well I am remiss to mention my second daughter who blessed us with her presence in Lousiana. Born 4 Dec 91. Europians love babies. If I may regress. On a trip to Pisa Italy we drove down to Munich and then through Austria. At the border a Border Guard was looking through our passports and seen we had a baby. Kimberly if I havent said so. He took the passport and shouted across the border to his other gueards. Look a baby. I had about four of five guards admiring my baby. Now I am just as proud of my girls if not more than any father and I figured these guys see this all the time. Well if they do and they still get excited about my kid too. Well God bless them too. Well after my stint in Europe I was sent to Turkey (95 to 97). Well let me tell you this is a educational experiance too. Only allowed some many characters so will be short. Mostly nice people and Chr...Expand for more
istianity (Whoo Hoo :):)) had a big begininning around here. Seen a few underground Christian citys and allot of Muslims. A good muslim is just as loving and hospitabal as a Christian. Too bad what is going on now HUH??? Well i did another tour in Korea. Same place 10 years after. Went to Guam after that, was with my family agian. Well after 3 years on an semi nice tropical island. I was certified as a advanced diver. Tropical Island what else is ther to do? A few but I cant go into all that now. Well I left the Island in 2001 with family in tow. My kids spent some fun time with grandparents as we prepared a place in good OLE Utah. Well I found out it was the end of a marriage but not all bad. I got the kids and my retirement. Still hurt like no opnes business. After a year or maybe less of feeling sorry for my self I got over it somewhat and started doing what I liked. I met a great gal ( Diana ) and we dated and the girls seemed to really like her. She flew to Wash to visit me and the girls with my parents and siblings who also seemed to love her too. Yes of course i married her. She even took care of my kids while they sent me to Qatar for 120 days. Now thats a good women who will take care of a couple older girls who are daddys girls while he is gone. Now we are just a happy family and wouldnt want it any other way. Life is good and God is Great and hope you all enjoyed the little story. There is more but am afriad I would bust my limit. Good luck and God Bless. P.S. Will be retiired by Sept 05. hope there is a civilian job out there for me?? Update:>>>> Well I have since retired and at had at one time was working for Union Pacific as a Rail Road Conductor. As things happen the Rail Road laid allot of us off and I got a job working Rail for the Army in Tooele Army Depot. Nice job still miss it. I ended up right back where I retired at Hill AFB Utah working Rail ( Hired to work rail but the train dont move much so I am a highly paid Wrecker driver for the transportation squadron) So in reality I am a highly paid driver for the Air Force. Not mind blowing by any means but it pays well and no more stress of Active Duty and deployments. Gonna upload some photos so you all can see how handsome I didnt became. LOL You will find I am still as silly as I was in school just a bit more reserved but not too much.
