Robin's Story

Robin is from Indiana, Pennsylvania. Her schools include: Benjamin Franklin Elementray, Indiana Area Jr. & Sr. High Schools. Married John Montgomery on 8/10/1974. Moved to Morgantown, WV, in 1982. Have 2 Adult children - April Powell & Nathan who each have 2 girls and 1 boy. That makes 6 grandchildren between the ages of 13 years and 10 months old. Lillie (13), Morgan (13), Nicholas (11), Clara (9), Madelyn (6), and Mitchell (10 Mo's.) who are the lights of my life and keep me going. Robin works for the Gover...Expand for more
nment--PHS, CDC, National Institute For Occupational Safety And Health, DRDS (22 years). John passed away 6/14/2011 from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma after almost 37 years of marriage. I am still reeling making many life adjustments. TV shows Robin likes include: Bones, Castle, NCIS, CSI, WVU Basketball, Steeler and WVU football. Let's go Mountaineers! Here is Lillie in her band uniform. It makes her look like a half-back for the football team. She is probably roasting to death too!
I will keep repeating this until someone takes the idea and runs with it: Support research for treatment of childhood cancers. It is NOT ACCEPTABLE that the medications availble for treatment are more than 20 years old.
Happy 242nd Birthday United States Army. And Happy Flag day to All of us.

I am thankful for our military that make so many sacrifices to help keep our country free. May God bless each of them and their families.

Tomorrow is Make A Wish's Walk it starts at 9 AM at the Hazel Ruby Mcquain Ampitheater down below the Westover Bridge.
Because they are so special, they do deserve their own day...
