Robin's Story
Hey everyone- Can't believe how fast life has flown by these last 19 yrs. Funny how school didnt go by this fast-lol. I turn 38 this Sept(2008)and I will be celebrating 19 years with my husband, Rick, this Sept. as well. Yes, we married young, but they have been great years. I spent the first nine years of our marriage, following him from state to state(he was Navy). We never went overseas, but were able to see our amazing country. We lived in Florida, Idaho, Washington state and New York. I was lucky enough to be eight months pregnant with out first child when we drove cross country from Washington state to New York-in January! Both our boys were born in Saratoga Springs, New York-famous for horse racing. This is a beautiful place to visit if you are ever out that way. We lived there almost 4 yrs and I hated to leave. We left the service and Rick got a job working for Pfizer(Viagra anyone) in Illinois. Which was great. I was two hours from friends and family. Then he gets a promotion after just one year of being back. So-of course we took it and moved to St. Louis, Mo. Where we have now lived for almost 10 years-the longest we've lived anywhere-It's definitely a record! I enjoy St. Louis. I have m...Expand for more
ade wonderful friends, my children are in a great school district and have made solid friendships. We love our neighborhood(which is overrun by boys-can be scary at times-especially when they start driving-lol). Family is only 4.5 hours away, so we are still able to see them a few times out of the year.
My oldest boy Rick, is now 14, going to be a freshman and plays hockey for the high school. He also has reached those teen years and girls. I try to remain calm most days. My youngest, Jake, is 11 and going to middle school. He plays soccer in the fall and winter, and baseball in the spring. They keep me busy. I dont work-well at least I dont get paid for the work I do-lol. I am the official -washer of clothes so we dont go to school naked-finder of all things-driver to all sporting events and parties-cheerleader at all games-or the reality check when you're not giving your all. Most of all, I have a pretty great life. I'm busy with my boys, but I am able to volunteer up at school whenever I want. I can do things with my boys when they let me. I have lunch with my girlfriends about once a week(no wonder I cant lose any weight-lol). So all in all, life is good. Hope to see you all at the reunion!
