Rod's Story

Life I escaped the shipyard in B-town after serving almost 15 years to work as a software engineer for a Huntsville, Alabama based company. I also played bass on a three week tour in Siberia, Russia the summer of 1993. I've recently relocated to New England and work as a consultant for an international software company that specializes in composites production simulation. The majority of my customers are located in Asia. I celebrated my 16th wedding anniversary in 2000 and have no children. Update Aug 2001 - Well, it looks like I'm back in the ship business. I accepted an offer from a well known French CAD software company, headquartered just outside Paris, that is deploying a suite of engineering/manufacturing tools for the shipbuilding and plant/process industries. When not overseas consulting, I now work from my home office. The move to New England has been great - what a wonderful place (except for the traffic) to live! Sure wish I had taken 3 years of French and German in addition to the Spanish from Ms. Stemmons! Well, it's back to Asia for a bit. Che jim-eul eodiseo ch'at-seumnikka? Fall 2004 finds us returning to the PacNW to support the 7E7 project. Lap one of the US is complete!
