Rod's Story
Life
Where do I start...........I went into the Army in 1990 and was a medic in the 24th Inf. Div. for 4 years. In 1994 I came off of active duty and went into the reserves (What a blast that was!!). I worked at a prison in Riedsville, GA for 2 yrs. I worked at the Olympics in Atlanta in 1996. I decided to become a patrol officer and went to the police academy in Savannah, GA. In 1997 I finally finished my degree in Occupational Health and Safety. I moved back home to Denham Springs and went to work for United Scaffolding in Baton Rouge. t to work for The Shaw Group in Laporte, Texas (Houston Area). In 2003 I went to Iraq as the HSE Manager for KBR and came home in 2006.
I am writing a book and now work as an HSE Engineer for Siemens Wind Power. Over the last few years I have traveled all over the US, building wind turbine sites that produce renewable clean energy. I hope to finish my book later this year and maybe even have it published by the end of 2010. UPDATE: I am now divorced and still working with Siemens building wind turbine farms. I hope to one day move back to La and settle down. But for now I am just enjoying life.
