Rod's Story

Joined Navy out of HS, came back to SRQ after two years and married HS sweetheart. Spent next 25 years bumping around the globe with Uncle Sam's Canoe Club. Daughter born in Spain, Son born in Guam. 19 moves in 26 years - rollin' stone - no moss! Navy afforded me opportunity for multiple engineering degrees and retired as Lieutenant Commander. Returned to SRQ in '87 and jumped into commercial and residential appraisals ...Expand for more
with own firm for 12 years. With this great naval/engineering/apprsisal background I found I was ideally suited for becoming a master popper and kettle corn entrepaneur. Popped 106 tons over next 15 years while bumping around summers in motorhome and meeting lots of friendly folks. Now living happily ever after in beautiful downtown Nokomis and pestering yankees during summers while ranging far and wide in our motorhome.
