Rod's Story
Peace like a river through Jesus. Trying to be in the world, not of it. I learned long ago that "it's not about me." I married my best friend from RHS (Linda Kelly, 1971) but we didn't know each other until 1972 when God answered yet another important request about my future as I was passing through Reno on leave from the Navy. God works in mysterious ways (Jeremiah 29:11). We have 3 children, products of the 70's (Katie 78), 80's (Lauren 81)and 90's (Andrew 92). Fortunately, we skipped the 60's but we, like you, somehow made it through that very weird decade. We have lived in Colorado for over 28 years and absolutely love it and couldn't have made a better choice to "grow where we were planted! trangling your teenagers!" We've been rewarded 3x so far -- Gracie {2005}, Matthew {2008} and Gabriel (2010). What wonderful gifts from God. I retired from the National Park Service in 2010 but I'm back working PT 3X/week. I still play racquetball 3x a week. I find my strength in God, Linda and the rest of our family and friends. Peace to all who may stumble on these written words. The results of the quizzes on Classmates.com and description of me from them are truly fictional and inaccurate but Mrs. Sullivan would nonetheless be so proud that I finally was able to write something coherent and get most of the answers right but she'd still likely have given me a "C" for being a class clown. Nonetheless, life is Good! Find me on Twitter and/or Facebook and then drop me a line. Rod (3/2011)
