Rodney's Story
Life
I wasn't a part of any cliques on campus though I was a newspaper reported/editor and belonged to a few clubs/organizations but didn't make any of the popularity poles.
You may not recognize me from my pic, probably since I am not wearing glasses,
I left the Victor Valley in 1981 when the company I worked for there in Victorville transferred me to their Pittsburg CA facility where I remained until 1990 when I left and went to work for H J Heinz and onto Cal/OSHA.
I earned a BA degree from California State University- Eastbay in 2009 and I am still working for Cal/OSHA where I have been employed for the past, 30 years. I am a Senior Safety Engineer presently assisting the Deputy Chief of Field Operations located in our HQ in downtown Oakland. Fortunately I get to work out of one of our offices in Concord and away from the protesters, but I had to do 24 years of commuting, with 19 of ...Expand for more
them on BART, before I was able to finally secure a transfer to our Concord Process Safety Management Office.. I plan on retiring in about 2 1/2 more years if all goes well and plan on staying in the SF Eastbay where I have been for nearly 40 years..
I relocated to the SF Eastbay in 1981 in a job transfer from Victorville and currently reside in Bay Point where the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta narrow before entering the Carquinez Straits and eventually drains into the San Pablo and San Francisco Bays. On a good clear day I can see the Sierra Nevada Mountains from my home which are about 200 miles away!
Rarely make it to the Victor Valley these days as most of my family has left the area or died. My brother Randall relocated to the SF Eastbay a few years ago and currently reside nearby in Concord California.
Thanks for reading and I wish you the best in all your endeavors!
