Rodney's Story
Life or something like it
So, where do I begin? I am still a blood sucking lawyer. Unfortunately, with the collapse of the stock market, my retirement has been put on indefinite hold. Unless my brain implodes, which is highly likely given the demands I have placed on it, I will probably be working until the day before I die (hey, I want to have at least one day of relaxation).
Given the fact that this is being written shortly before the presidentail election, all I can say is that the actual voting cannot come too soon. I am just completely disgusted with the whole process. I think that I am beginning to believe that duels at high noon would be a unique, and more satisfying, method of selecting our fearless leader. e do, let's kill all the lawyers." And remember, that statement was made before lawyers became the odious creatures that now inhabit every corner of the planet. I may be a lawyer, but I make no excuses for my profession.
That being said, I am happy to inform you that ur law firm is doing quite well. We represent a number of different entities, including the Cahokia School Board and we perform defense work for the Village of Cahokia. We also do work for the East St. Louis School Board, St. Clair County, the City of Belleville, Southwest Illinois College and the City of Fairview Heights. If you ever get a speeding ticket in the metropolitan area, don't call. I can't even get my own tickets dismissed.
My office is in Belleville, about a block from Althoff High School. Stop by any time. All inquiries are appreciated and your satisfaction is guaranteed-unless you are really persnickety. If that is true, then all bets are off. I mean, I am only a refugee from Cahokia.
So long for now, and thanks for all the fish.
