Time to make the donuts... Thought I would update a few things because I see a growing number of SHS Graduates touching base, getting back into the know about happenings with all the other kids... Well, I ordered a replacement HS Album, seems after more than a Hundred moves around the world, I just can't find my original...figured it might come in handy for the Fiftieth reunion. Yes, I missed the Fortieth reunion, but I had the experience of joining my father on his Fiftieth reunion out at Huntsville back in June, 1993, and figured it may be best to just wait a little. I had retired from the Air Force, and was home on a job hunting tour after leaving the Republic of Turkey. Well, synchronisticly, we had attended church service a few days later, Me, Mom & Dad, and, they asked where I would like to stop for lunch as we drove down 71B, and I pointed to a spot for sandwiches. We go in, seeking the solitude of the far back corner, and who should "happen" to be there? Mrs. Weller! The Art Teacher from SHS (Not only this, BUT...) We talked a few minutes and it was found that I had just missed her in Turkey, where she had vacationed in APRIL 1993, So, considering the significance of this event, there may well be another WHIZ-BANG event predestined to occur in the days following our get-together in 2021. Hope to see all of you well, and full of spirit in the days ahead. And, as my cousin Red Skelton always said at the end of the show, "Good night, and may God bless". Let me tell you a story of SYNCHRONICITY Man comes along every day at Hospital, drops off a piece of Chocolate for the Volunteers for the Information Desk. Wears a hat with "NASA Retired" written on the front of this baseball cap, and I asked him one day what he would like if he had his druthers for a baseball cap I offered for his kindness. Said he would like to have 101st Airborne, WWII on a cap, since he was a WWII Veteran that had dropped by parachute into Germany on D-Day, I said I'll fix you right up, but it may be a couple weeks before it arrives. Well, don't you know, after just one week, the hat arrives, and JUST AS I TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX, AND READ THE LETTERING "101st Airborne" I HEAR THE TV IN THE NEXT ROOM, it's a War Movie, and the GUY ON THE MOVIE SAYS "I'm from the 101st Airborne" ??????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? If you had to QUANTIFY the quintillions to one chance that anything of this nature could possibly take place in a NORMAL UNIVERSE, you would have to say that it would probably be a couple hundred MORE quintillion to one that this EXACT TIMING would NEVER EVER take place. However, let me tell you about this SAME ROOM, with this SAME TV, and the fact I was sitting there a few years ago, back in '04, and watching this Movie called DRAGONFLY with Kevin Costner. Seems he had lost his wife to some horrible accident in the Amazon Jungle, and kept having recurring events and indications of some possibility of her being alive, or something drawing him to go to th...Expand for more
