Rodney's Story
Sept 2008. Starting a 3200 mile solo motorcycle cruise/camping trip from my home in Troy, Il to Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, etc. Devil's Tower, Badlands, Black Hills, Mt Rushmore. Age 68. The old man can still do it! Rod.

1 August 2014 Just returned from yet another solo motorcycle trip through Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Old bike (1983 Kawasaki) and old man (1939) performed well. Among other things, visited the Surf Ballroom in Cleat Lake, Iowa, site of Buddy Holly's last performance and also the memorial where his plane went down in Feb 1959. Anybody remember?
Now trailer camping (July 2017) in northern Minnesota on shores of Lake Superior. Seen bears several times as well as deer, fox, loons, and beaver, Love this part of the country.
