Rogenia's Story
Too much going on to try and post it here!
If any one remembers, I enlisted in the Marine Corps on the delayed program while I was still in high school. As soon as we graduated, I was shipped out to Parris Island, SC for boot camp. That was many moons ago!
I met my future husband, through a boot camp friend, and have been with him since. Minus a year or thereabouts when we got divorced and then remarried.
I couldn't write any of this for a soap opera, they'd never believe it!
Any way, we've traveled the world - literally. Spent time in Hawaii, California, Mauritius, Brazil, and Camp Lejeune, NC.
When my husband retired in 1994 it was either settle here or go back to New York alone because I wasn't moving north. I couldn't face those long, cold winters.

aduating cum laud. I start back to school this semester at RCC in the Criminal Justice Program. I only need a few classes to get my Associates Degree, so I figured why not?
And of course, all this while working full time.
I have two children, a daughter 32 and a son 28. My daughter, Constance, is married with two children, Aaron (3 in February) and Ashleigh (8 mos). My son, Charlton has a daughter, Alyssa (18 mos). He is not married but currently has a 'significant other' with two of her own children.
As I mentioned, my husband retired from the Marine Corps. After he retired and found out he couldn't lay around the house, he went to school and became a RN. He worked at Randolph Hospital for 11 years before he decided he didn't need all the stress. Now he works a couple of days at Hospice. He's feeling old, he just turned 59 in December.
