Anyone out there from the Class of 1961,I'd like to hear from you!
It's been an interesting trip since then, with a few very deep valleys, but lots of mountaintops.
Briefly, I attended Texas Tech for a while; enlisted in the Navy in 1963 and spent most of my time at Key West, Florida. Was discharged in 1967; returned to Lubbock and went to work in the advertising department at the Avalanche-Journal, staying there fourteen years. That is where I met my wife, Thelma, and we married in 1969. We have two sons, Todd and David, and two grandchildren, Kacey and Will.

twenty years, retiring in 2001. At that time we moved to Round Rock to be closer to our children and grandchildren.
I had a great job with the Parks Department for the City of Round Rock for about five years until another serious illness convinced me that it was time to retire.
We have a wonderful church and church family at First Baptist Church of Round Rock. We have made many, many great friends there, and are involved with the "Elderberries" , and I help with ushering/offering collection, and occasionally fill in for our couples SS class teacher. We joined the senior center to meet more people, and take advantage of some of the day trips.
