R.D. Herring is the author of the well received Woody Stone, Private Investigator, novel, "The Life and Times of a Private Dick". He is a big fan of pulp fiction as an art form, especially the hard-boiled detective novel. He's never been a winner, recipient nor conferee of any award or other honor in regards to his writing.
