Roger's Story

i consider that there are 15 essentials of well-being that i now have some of them. denied all of them and i started drinking over again and wow pandora's box. just getting over another bed bug attack in my group home in daly city i share with eleven crackheads. hoping to graduate this spring from csm and looking ahead to taking spanish this summer at skyline. my ambition dis to be a grant writer for expanded services for san mateo county's people who have mental illnesses. friends from school, recovery groups going back 25 years, the guys i live with, being invited to the commonwealth club and college fraternity downtown lunch, fighting deadlines, enjoying down time. i'm probably the best person who knows all the bus schedules to get around on. since my late beloved 1970 cadillac hearse went to the recycling yard, i'm pretty much a public transit kid. what part of green don't you understand, huh?just kidding. i retired in 1992 from a food service career that as a highlight i got to work for gary danko in san mateo until i drank that gig away. looking back in retrospect i washed around one million plates saucers cups bowls pots and pans silverware you name it. remember carafes? do they still use those anymore. now i do not have permission to wash the dishes at home or at my brother bobby's on weekends in burlingame. some people need a little dishpan therapy from time to time. now i like to practice with one arm behind my back as if i might in the future have a stroke. in the 90's i was befriended by a single mom from san mateo and it got a little difficult she getting pre...Expand for more
gnant all the time like on tv . i keep in touch with her three sons now in their teens in castro valley with their father and grandfather. i love them and they love me so what's it anybody's business anyway. also when i first met her she had a illegitimate daughter who is the girl who raised herself. it was just so wonderful now that she has crossed out of adolescence into adult hood and can continue the dialog that the teen years can put on hold. she was attending ucla after csm just like i was back at berkeley 2004-05 too, after csm . she graduated and i didn't yet,if not ever. this is not a decision for myself to make because i have a conservator to manage my affairs. he is a very charming and personable and occasionally flashes his devilish smile. we get along great and go to starbuck's once a week to check my mental status or whatever type of assesment technology he uses. however i am really offended when i asked where he draws the line on my special needs disability trust and he thought it was naive or stupid to suggest what a safety deposit box was for. but hell i'll get sick if i think about it so any way i paid no taxes this year compared to 07 with those capital gains from my grandparents holdings. any way now i get clothes from men's warehouse and i do like the way i look. first impressions you know.also a really swell psychiatrist somehow got me brushing my teeth and using shaving cream a new razor. in the 90's i used just one disposible razor for at least a year. yes i have scottish ancestors. i really do.well my mind just went blank so the end roger
