Roger's Story

My history since '65 has been all over the place! I went to Lehigh Univ, then UConn Law and was admitted to the Conn Bar. I joined a life insurance co in advanced estate planning for several years then moved to a field position in Minneapolis, then moved to Virginia with an insurance co. Lots of stuff in the interim, but landed in Indianapolis. My wife, Gail, and I were married in 1969 and remain happily married. We have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. They're all the keys to my heart. Outside work, Gail & I love to travel and boat - our pontoon is a great party barge - never without appropriate libations. We're also diehard Colts fans (sorry, Pats fans!!) and go to the Indy 500 every year (we NEVER...Expand for more
thought we'd like it when we moved there!). I loved running long distance races, e.g., half marathons, but arthritis forced me to have a hip replacement in 2005 that ended that career. Now I bike as much as possible. One especially interesting experience I've had is that I reported to a former VP of the US -- Dan Quayle and in late 1995 he asked me directly if I thought he should run for the US Presidency. I'll not go into the details of the conversation, but this son of a Ringley Brothers Circus clown was really honored!! It's something I'll never forget. To end, although I've been away from Conn for a long time, I'd love to learn what's happened with others! Regards and my best to all, Roger
