Roger's Story
Hello Friends;
I'm happily married to my best friend, Nola, and we live in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I'm a full-time EMT instructor at the local technical college (since 1990) & still work part-time "on the street" as a paramedic.
Yes, me a teacher, of all people? After putting forth about 10% effort all through K-12 school, it is a bit hard to believe. But after serving 4 years in the military (US Coast Guard 1977-1981) & growing up a great deal, I've been blessed with many wonderful opportunities to follow my dreams. I love my profession as a paramedic, it is my passion, and teaching people about emergency care just seems to flow naturally.
Nola is from Poynette, Wisconsin. We met in 1999 and were married in 2003. She is a personality analyst/ life coach and works at Living Hope Christian Counseling in DePere, Wisconsin. We continue to amuse one another and find things to laugh about most of the time. Jesus is the third partner in our marriage.

& just recently moved back to Green Bay to attend Bellin College of Nursing. My son, Joey, is 25 & serving in the USAF at Tucson, AZ. He married a girl from Tucson & they have 1 son, "Little Joe", who was born this past February. So, yes, I'm officially old now, since I am a grandpa but I'm cool with it! (Actually, "loving it" would be a better way to put it.) I've always loved little babies but this one is especially precious!
The single most important thing in my life is trying to do things God's way instead of my own way. "God first, everybody else next, me last" is something I recently heard which says how I'm trying to live my life these days (only by His grace).
All in all, "life's been good to me so far" (Joe Walsh). I get back down to Indiana about 4 or 5 times a year to visit family & friends. It's only about 400 miles - an "easy" trip through Chicago.
