Roi's Story
Roi is from Roanoke, Alabama. He is married to Janice Beaird. His schools include Forest Park High School, Paterson Eastside High School. He later attended Univ. of Alaska and Georgia State University (Medicine, Psychology). He works(ed) at USAF July 1965 to May 1986. Last job title in the USAF was Superintendent of Nursing Services.
Roi's interests include Cuddling, Vacation, Central Intelligence Agency, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons,Alabama Football, Genealogy, The Original Harlem Globetrotters. Music he likes includes Led zeplin, CCR, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Alan Jackson, Hank Wiliiams, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw. Books he likes include National Geographic Books, Atlas Shrugged, The Dune Series,The Bible, The Book of Mormon, See You At The Top, Decision Points, How to Have Confidence and Power in Dealing with People, The Double Win, Unlimited Power, The Success System That Never Fails. . More about Roi:"Born in Roanoke, Al, in 1946, my family moved from one place to another. I met my future bride in 1957, while attending the fifth grade at a country school, which I grew to love. My future bride was in the third grade, and our mothers were best friends and had gone to school together, We grew up, totally, in love. She was eight, I was12. married. I joined the USAF during the heat of the Viet Nam Conflict. I volunteered for the war but didn't receive orders for it. Meantime, Janice and I married in 1968. We had our first child, a daughter, in the summer of '69. We were in Germany at the time. Our son was born in 1972 in Montgomery, Al. After a tour of duty in Greece and Tucson, Az., We were sent to Alaska, where we lived for 6 years. We moved back to Georgia in 1986. We were sad to leave Alaska, but our family was in the South. I had a good career in the Medical Corps, and working for the State of Alaska and The American Heart Association receiving a degree in Applied Sciences and Medicine from the U of Alaska. In Georgia and Alabama, my wife and I owned several different businesses. We also enjoyed the fruits of an Amway Business, which we started back in 1975. Additionally, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoy the knowledge and comfort the Gospel gives me. I never ask The Lord "why", because He knows and will let me know when it's time. My wife and I are in love as much or more today than when we started.. I've also, discovered that I have more brothers and sisters. 5 brothers and two sisters. Richard, I grew up with, Ray, I sort of knew about him, he's awesome, Doxie, who lives in NM, James, Warren, Jesse, who lives in California, and Ruby, who lives in NM. Their last name is McCard, which I found out my name was Felton Grover McCard, Jr. I'm proud of all of them. My life has been blessed and long. Some things I regret, but I'd do it all again, with some corrections, of course. I love my family, all of them, and I understand why I'm here, now.I've been truely blessed.".
