Rolando's Story

Life After graduating Goose creek high, I was a Trident Tech for a few years because I decided the Citadel was not the school for me. My family soon moved to Washington state in 93 where I finished my associates degree in "nothing". In 94, I moved on to the University of Washington and felt that I didnt have any direction in life and was wasting money so I joined the Navy where I served for 6 years. do.Currently thinking about going back to grad school. Currently,I've completed a research project that is being published in the Journal of shellfish research concerning the Summer mortalities of (bivalves) ie clams,oyster,mussels from OSHV-1 (Osterid Herpes Virus) in Bodega Bay, Ca using molecular and histological techniques to determine it origin. I currently work for a biotech company that researches the use of zebrafish as a genetic model for possible drug pharmaceutical discoveries as well as a concurrent study on obesity leading to treatments in the future.
