Rom's Story
Life
I graduated from The University of
Houston in
December of
'96. I have a double major:
BS: Kinesiology and
BA: Spanish.
I taught Spanish and coached
football, basketball, wrestling, and
track for 8 years. I've worked
in Klein, Cy-Fair,HISD, Fort
Bend, Alief, and Katy. I coached two
years at Reagan HS under good old coach
Turner as his defensive line coach. I
even coached a year at our school
(Langham Creek) when I was student
teaching (I coached Corkill's little
brother).
My wife and I were married on November 18th
of 2000. My wife's name is Deysi (pronounced like Daisy). I met
her when I was working at Reagan HS ...Expand for more
in HISD, she is now
the registrar at George Bush High School in
Fort Bend ISD.
My wife and I had our first child
on September 10, 2001 (27 minutes
before the day of the 9/11 tragedy in
New York). His name is Steven Douglas
Crespo, in memory of my buddy
Steven Douglas Jones. Our second child
was born on October 15, 2002. Her name
is Dominique Victoria Crespo. Now we
have the pair and the factory has been
closed forever. I obtained my Master's
of Education in Administration and
Supervision in 2003 and am an Assistant
Principal at Morton Ranch High School in
Katy ISD.
