Roman's Story
Graduated High School and four days later I was going through recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. I spent 5 years Active Duty stationed at Cherry Point, N.C. I had married my High School sweat heart. (Those of you who were close to me knew who that was!) We had a very short lived marriage. I deployed overseas for six months and visited a few countries. nit that was based at Naval Air Station Atlanta. In 2003 I got remarried and in 2003 I deployed to Afghanistan, and stayed on Active Duty for as long as the law would allow...2 years. I came back to work for my old job, but soon quit and started working as a Tech. Support Manager for a Voice over Internet Protocol company. I worked for them for almost a year, and then moved on to my current job. Now I work for a government contract company. I work in Iraq for the Marine Corps and I'm currently on my second year in Iraq.
