Ron's Story
After high school I worked for about a year then got a wild hair and enlisted in the Army. They sent me to Germany and I served in an armor unit. Pretty good tour compared to my older brother who joined the Marines and got shipped to 'Nam. He was wounded but, luckily, came back and is OK.
After the military I worked at different jobs mostly because in the Easton area layoffs and plant closings were terrible during the 80s and 90s. I worked for JT Baker in Phillipsburg, NJ for 12 years before the big layoff. Also worked for the National Park Service, sold real estate in the Poconos, drove truck, fork truck, and repaved roads. Now I write (and even occasionally sell) science fiction and horror and I'm a freelance writer for a magazine called Lost Treasure. I have a website but the rules say I can't list it here. But, if you'd like to visit it, just type my name into G...Expand for more
oogle and they'll bring up a list. Traveled and moved around a lot, too. Besides various locations in PA I've lived in north Florida, Idaho and now Arizona. All nice places but I like the mountain desert country of Arizona the best.
Married the first time in 1973 and we had four kids. Bobbie passed away in 1989. Later on I went for awhile with a lovely girl named Gloria S. but it didn't work out though I still miss her a lot. She always said she wasn't good at relationships; guess I wasn't either. I married Carol in 1998.
Lived in Moore Township near Easton for almost four years and liked it a lot but then discovered NW Arizona and really fell for it. Moved here near Kingman June 2008.
I went to the first class reunion in 1970. Who else was there? Let's hear from you. Any old class of '65ers (or any old friends) who want to stop by and say hello are always welcome!
