Ron's Story
My wife, Carol Schroeder, and I have been married for 45 years. We have one son and one daughter. We lived in Maryland -- Baltimore City, Fallston, and Westminster -- until 2007 when we moved to Franklinton, NC.
Our daughter and her family live in Wake Forest, NC and this was the main reason we moved after we retired. The "main players" are:
Grandson (Matt) --plays ice hockey, golf, and runs cross country
Granddaughter (Kristin) --plays basketball and runs cross ...Expand for more
country
Granddog (Nickki) -- "takes me" for walks.
Attending their games and other activities keep us pretty busy. Additionally, we are involved in Hope Lutheran Church activities and building a Habitat For Humanity house. This last activity has taught me two things: (1) I'm getting old and (2) I have no skills sets related to home building. However, it is fun.
We play lots of golf and we do some traveling.
Summary --- We are glad we moved "Down South"
