Life
I joined the Coast Guard in June of 1974. Became a shipboard electrican. Quickly advance to second class petty officer. Was stationed at Eatons Neck (Northport, NY) Govener's Island, NY. Atlantic Beach, NC, and New London, CT. Left the Coast Guard in 1979. Worked with some eletrical and air condictioning contractors and then in 1982, got a job with Wendy's repairing there equiment. Standard Microsystems sold that division in 1999 to a start-up company called Standard MEMS Inc. Standard Mems close their doors in June of 2002. I spent the summer of 2002 unemployed and hunting for a job. In Oct. of 2002 I started a new job at Plum Island Center for Animal Diseases where I work as a Maintenance Mechnic in the Lab. I got married in 1980 and have three daughters, ages 25, 21, and 17. I live in Shirley NY. Five mimutes from Smithpoint Park.
