Ron's Story
I went on to graduate from Marshall in 1976 with a BS in Biology and then from WVU in 1979 with a MS in Environmental and Occupational Health. I married Debbie Triplett from the Guyan Valley class of '75.
I worked for a short while for an explosive's company in MacArthur, Ohio. Then we moved back to WV and I worked for OSHA (Federal Gov.) in Charleston for nearly 5 years. During this time we had our 2 girls - Heather and Sarah. We moved to Arizona for a short while and then to upstate New York, near Syracuse. We were up there for a total of nearly 10 years.
We left NY in 1995 and moved to Canton, OH. We really enjoyed living there and our older daughter Heather, her husband Jon, and our 2 little granddaughters Natalie and Courtney live there now. Those little girls are, of course, our pride and joys.
We moved out here in 2000 near St. Louis, but we're actually on the Illinois side of the river. Our younger daughter, Sarah, is still with us and has gone back to college here locally.

rk for Owens-Illinois - the glass container company. There used to be a plant in Huntington. I'm part of the North American health and safety department and work with 7 of our plants as my client facilities. Debbie gave up full time teaching when we came out here, but she still substitutes when she wants to.
I lost both of my parents back in 2001 and my brother in Lincoln County passed away just before Thanksgiving of 2009. Debbie's Mom passed away in 2005 - her father had passed back in 1989. We say that we're orphans now.
I'm in a band out here and you can check out our website at Skyline Band on facebook. There are some YouTube videos, pictures, and demo music on the website. Deb is the primary photographer and videographer for the band and I'm sort of the webmaster. It's been a fun hobby for us. I wonder myself sometimes how I fit this in with all the business traveling I do, but it actually helps keep me in good spirits and Deb enjoys the band as well.
