Ron's Story
Came to St. Theresa's in my Sophomore year and graduated in 1966. I had the best time during those three years. Met a lot of great kids. Knew everyone in our class of 72, which a lot of kids who went to bigger schools cannot say. Remember spending mornings before school and afternoons after at Pittman's Grill on Grand River. Never played sports but went to every game we had and remember cheering until I could hardly talk. Made some great friends like Pat O'brien, Jim Carravallah, Judy Brand, Judy Hugo, and Judy Nowack to name a few. Had great experiences and learned a lot that I've used in my life. I most remember Sister Raymond Elizabeth our senior home room nun. She had the greatest way to control people without ever saying a word. I learned her technique well and used it our my kids, Very Affective.
Left St. Theresa's and went on to Schoolcraft College for 2-1/2 years for Automotive Service, Then on to Eastern Michigan for a B.S. in Industrial Education. ...Expand for more
Worked as a mechanic for most of my career, taught at Chrysler, and some adult ed, Owned my own auto repair for 13 years and finished out my career at FoMoCo for 17 years working on their Tech Hotline and later as a parts analyst, where I released parts for service and wrote parts catalogs. Retired in 2007 and have been enjoying life ever since working on my old cars.
Been married twice, first for two years and this time for 38 years. My wife Sandee was special ed teacher for 34 years (probably in good choice when she has to deal with me) and is also now retired. Two great kids a daughter who is married and in advertising in Chicago, and a son, also married, and an automotive engineer in Lake Orion. Two new grand babies this year our first.
Hoping we have a class reunion next year. I went to our 10 year reunion and had a great time. Never heard if we had any more after that, hoping this web site will bring us all back together again at least once more.
