Ron's Story
Joined US Navy Jan 1966. After boot camp in Great Lakes, school in Norfolk, Va, went to first duty station in Lewes, De until about June 1968. Next to a small Naval Facility on a large Naval Base in Argentia, Newfoundland. Loved Newfoundland, hope to return there some day for a visit. Got out of the Navy in Oct 1969. Worked in Warren, PA (my hometown)for a few months, then moved to Boston with some old Navy friends. Left Boston to return to Warren in mid 1971. and I drove cross country to live in SW Oregon. Worked for Bell Tel in Warren and transferred to Bell in Ore. Left Bell in Aug 1976 to attend an Outward Bound Course in Northern Minnesota. Back to Ore. Lived life there (more details in the future). Moved with wife and 3 kids back to Warren in mid 1982, lost parents in 1983, and divorced from wife a week or so later. Drove cross country again in mid 1984 with 3 kids and a dog, in a U-Haul truck.
