Ron's Story
To all, a big "hello"! I have been away from home (Tulsa) for 35 years and returned in 2006. I lived in the Oklahoma City metro area most of those years and lived in Edmond prior to moving to Broken Arrow. I left Broken Arrow and moved to Arkansas in 2011. I love Arkansas so much I wonder why I stayed in Oklahoma so long. I now live in Hot Springs Village, Ar. and I am retired here.
I was an electrical power engineer and I worked for two utilities for 24 years and three engineering firms for 17 years. After some serious surgery I had in 2012, I elected to retire early.
I have two Shih Tzu dogs, one named "Sadie" and the other one named "Tucker". They are my "kids" and such a joy to have around and play with. They travel well when on the road. I like to get on the lake near HSV. I usually go to nearby Lake Ouachita, which is a very large lake with lots of shore line. The water is very clear and cleaner compared to Oklahoma's lakes. Lake Ouachita is rated as one of the best clean water lakes in ...Expand for more
the US. Arkansas has so many things to go see and do. It is truly a beautiful state!
We (Class of 1968) are all getting older now. When you look at the obituaries, you see a lot of people that passed away younger than us now. It makes one think about life, where we are at now, and what we will do with the rest of it. After over forty years in my career, I look back hoping I made a difference. My career has been a good one without struggles of keeping a job. I have had pain with divorces, pain with losing my only two children in an automobile accident, and pain with making a lot of bad personal decisions. I can't change any of that. The only thing I can change is myself, how I live the rest of my life, and spending as much time as I can with friends and new friends..
I sincerely hope to hear from some of you, male or female alike. I enjoy talking to people, making friends, and catching up on things with old acquaintances. I wish each of you luck, prosperity, and being blessed with good things.
