I have been a Professor (Ph.D) in the department of Communication Studies at San Jose State University for the last 11 years. I got tenure in 1994 and just got promoted to early Full professor, the highest rank! As a professor, my research focuses on intercultural communication, intercultural relations, and cultural identity. Last year, I was hired to work for the President of the University, as the Director in charge of Strategic Planning for the university and of Diversity (am spearheading the effort to create a diversity master plan for my campus). That is a great new chapter.
I have been married to a great man for the last seven years who works in International Procurement and is attaining his MBA from UC Davis in the Working Professional Program!
