Ronald's Story

How do I hope old friends remember me? As honest, straightforward and as a spiritual person. I always wanted to be a businessman when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. It's funny, my sister went to a psychic years ago and she said she saw a door with my name on it. Crazy huh? It turned out to come true. What's funny was the first time I saw my brass nameplate on that door, I remembered that psychic. When I'm stressed I usually read or go play golf or watch a movie. The worse time for me to try to figure anything out is when my emotions rule. I need to calm down so I can intellectualize over my emotions. I remember in the fourth grade we had to break up in groups, build this cardboard house complete with rooms-furniture. Then we had to come up with this story about the people who live in it. Then we elected one member of the group to present it to the rest of the class, which was me. It turned into a comedy and our teacher was rolling her eyes. At the end of our story I explained that when the family that lived in this house left to go to dinner and they accidently left the gas stove on. When the teacher turned away, I lit a firecracker and blew up the house. Boy, did I get in trouble for that one. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have contracts, calculator, and samples to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My heroes are John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Mother Teresa, Bill Gates. In 1987 I moved to Dayton, Ohio to live closer to my son, who was 5 years old. When graduated from highschool, I moved back to Cincinnati. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my mother, because I miss her dearly. I love to watch golf, pro football and the Olympics. The biggest surprise of my life was the birth of my daughter. As soon as my son was born I wanted a daughter. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bedroom and add a fireplace. My dream home would be an A-Frame outside Asheville, N.C.. The thing I've learned most from my children is when my daughter, in an effort to get her way, having slammed her door and then returning to the livingroom said "Daddy, everyone has a right to change ...Expand for more
their mind." I laughed till I cried and let her have her way. I remember my 10 grade math teacher, Pat McLaughlin, he played an important role in my developement when I was a teenager. I just wish I could thank him. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to my children, then spend the rest on charity, travel and pursuit of selfish things. I hope to one day live in San Diego, Ca. playing Torre Pines with my kids. My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be cynical. I was so completely wrong. My hope is to one day build the value of my business to millions so I can do what I want when I retire. My first crush was Georgetta P. I saw her when she was a freshman at UC and she was unbeleiveably gorgeous. She got married. As far as I know she hopefully is still married. She was truely my first love, if that is possible at that age. My best friend would tell you I'm pretty passive, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as aggressive. I have always been conservative in my dress style, however, in highschool I was a young hippy. Bellbottoms, tie-dyes and long hair. The strangest job I've ever had was when I was a salestrainee for a meat company. I had to start in the slaughterhouse. The first day I showed up at 4am and went to the slaughterhouse. There was a small cow in a pen waiting to be processed. I started petting on it and when my boss showed up he said "I wouldn't pet on that animal because in 20 minutes your going to be killing it!" I share my home with son, which I find great. I hope my daughter moves in too. If I could one thing over it would be to complete my education. What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? I lost most of my hair. So I now have a handsome collection of ballcaps-LOL In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by staying focused. My first job was at a restaurant, where I got paid $2.50 to wash dishes. What I remember most about it is at age 13 I actually got hired. I hammered the owner until he hired me. I was so happy to be making money. A childhood memory I'll never forget is summertime at the park and that big swing behind and below the tennis courts.
