Ronald's Story

Life So I suppose this is where I spew a few witty words about the person that I was in high school. Well that can actually be summed up in one word..... NERDY. To be quite frank I was a straight up nerd/ shy-guy. It is for that very same reason that most folks won't recognize or remember me. But there will of course be a few of you that WILL remember. But moving right along.... the first thing that comes to mind about my Ford High days is that wooded area behind the football field. Can you remember that area? I can.. because as bad as it might sound right now is this day and age it was pretty wild at the time. You see that was where my first girlfriend (in high school) and I played hookie once and boy was it a hookie day to remember (nuff said). I also remember the most surprising relationship that I found myself lucky enough to be a part of, I just knew that we would end up married and livivng happily ever after.... but then she moved away to ole Kentucky to attend college (nuff said again). Well what could I have expected, after all she was like either one or two classes ahead of me. I also have a lot of fond memories of good times spent in the auditorium hanging out with the AV technician. Do you remember him, Kevin Boyd? Or maybe you remember the other cool AV technician named Dawn. Well either way I remember a whole lot of good times playing hookie in that place. We would sneak in there when the techs were not there and then climb our way up the ropes that controlled the curtains, that would place us on the catwalks above the auditorium and we would make our way over to the projection room. After that the rest was up to us and whatever female company we managed to get to come up with us. We would pretty much turn it into a lil p...Expand for more
arty joint. Well now you know about my misbehaving ways...... and to be honest with you I can't really tell you much more outside of the misbehaving side or I'll be risking putting you to sleep. But I do recall some of the greatest and coolest teachers and staff members, for example Mrs. Johnson the Home Ec. teacher she was just too cool for words and Mr. Kunis (hope I spelled that right) even though the spelling was not quite right His name sounded exactly like what he was... Mr. Cool-ness. And the ultimate mack himself......Officer French. Now that was someone that a young man could look up to. He was a police officer but he was also every students friend, father figure, favorite uncle and confidante. Oops, Im sorry ...this was supposed to be about me. I geuss I just got caught thinking about all the great folks that tried so hard to guide all of us knuckle heads in the right direction. I'm quite sure I could think of more folks but my space is getting kinda full. So I'm gonna keep things moving along. But first let me say this.. geuss who I ran into the other day while working at Cobo for a high school/college prep thing..... (did I make you say "Who" out loud) well it was the greatest student counselor to ever grace the halls of HFH..... yes you geussed it... Mrs. Stewart. And she is still working in the DPS. God bless her heart. Well that's about it for me. I hope that you enjoyed strolling down memory lane with me and if you think you recognize me feel free to contact me. But be forewarned.. I am still a cheapskate, so I will NOT be paying for any upgraded membership fees on this site at least not right away. So you know what that means. LOVE.
