Ronald's Story
Life happened--after graduation worked on Seabrook Island with Stanton Bryant and few others until started College of Charleston (Pre Law)....spent more time chasing women and partying than going to school. Married girl from Sea Island Academy (Christine Haselden) in 1982 while still attending college and working.....college and working was wearing me out full time at both so enlisted in military for 4 years to finish my degree.
Nearly 21 years later I retired....LMMFAO...in April 2004 here in Charleston...my final duty station after being assigned or deployed to Amsterdam, Ft Walton Beach, Sumter SC, Wash DC, Korea, Kuwait, Saudi, Israel, Congo, Uganda, Bosnia, Hungary, Germany, Colombia, and a few others. Started as Combat Controller and due to injury transitioned and found my niche in Intelligence Operations for 15 years. Long story short...
Worked for various companies as a Defense Contractor locally since military...still some travel but no excitement in my job...which is fine after all I did....but d...Expand for more
o miss it sometimes especially when previous team-mates or peers ask me to come work with them in Wash DC or overseas.
For hobbies...not much different than back then...love to hunt primarily with longbows and recurves with hand made arrows...though also enjoy shooting and hunting with various firearms. Love canoeing, camping, off-roading....spent many many years in martial arts earning a black belt and more. Enjoy photography, music, movies, cooking and of course eating which could attest to my 40lbs gained in past 10 years...LOL I ride my motorcycle as much as possible and have been riding for 30 years now...currently have Indian Chieftain...it is my third one..sold others to friend in Australia I have known for number of years.
Live in West Ashley....brother (Byran) is still in area as are my parents though sold their farm on Wadmalaw and have condo in West Ashley as well.
I don't see anyone from St Johns really...usually it is by accident but that is how it goes. I am on facebook finally in 2014. LOL
