Ronald's Story
Life
November 2013 -- Hello, all.....I've been an actor/singer/writer for the last 40+ years. I'm not at all rich or famous, but I chose wisely. I have been married and divorced; no children. I live in Evanston, IL., the first suburb north of Chicago. Moved here in 1986. As you can see, I've shaved my head and had a mustache for many years. I still keep in touch with a few folks. To be honest, my years in New Castle were not the best...but I have a huge desire to connect with some classmates now -- took some time to get past the difficulties in growing up. Enough of that. If you wanted, you could track me down at pretty much any of the larger theatres in the city. Done some commercial work. I was in HOOSIERS all those years ago. My ambition is remains as strong as it always was. My priorities are to live life as openly and passionately as I can with the woman I love. If the job takes me places, great. But nowadays, it's more about being happy...I have a mantra I live by: Do your job well. Take time for your friends. Find someone to love....That's about it. My political and social views have always been much more liberal than most, and I enjoy bending an elbow at some saloon and sharing with others....If anyone at all would like to share some time with me, come find me! I wish you all the best.
School
November 2013 -- I had two instructors who pushed me to greater ambition: the drama teacher Dick Willis (would love to get back in touch with him) and the music teacher Della Mae Tronchuk (who passed away in June, 2009)...Expand for more
....I dated a little in high school, but I never thought anyone was attracted to me, in general. God, I had the biggest crush on two girls; pretty, smart and popular, it seemed. Much of my time in high school, to be frank, was pretty traumatic, thanks to my home life. And I never could feel comfortable in sharing that with anyone, so I dealt with it all alone. It probably tainted some potential friendships, I think. But I survived it all; I'm still here. I'd dearly love to get in touch with a few folks, if that's possible, and not just from the class of 72...Nic Steussy, Denise Waters, Steve Chappell, Dan and Stew Turnbull, Annie White, Mark Rauch, Cindy Leitch, Janet Connor, Bill Pierce, Claudia Nist, Vickie McWhorter, Kathy Noland, Mike Fleming, Sara Kolodjiez, Jan Crider, Sheryl Bolk, Diane and Carla Crisp, Pat Vett, Theresa Niles, Susan Murray....there's a good start!
College
Went to Ball State for 2 1/2 years...took a sabbatical... re-enrolled at IU, where I eventually got my degree in 1978.
Current
November 2013 -- Still in Chicago. Still acting. Still here, friends...And finally in a place to reach out to those who'd like to reach back.... Would dearly love to hear from folks. I'm on Facebook, if that helps...:)
UPDATE November 2017 -- Still. Took a play I wrote about Winston Churchill and played in New York for six months in 2015; the greatest professional moment of my life so far. Just attended a homecoming and class reunion. Looking forward down the road to many things. And I hope you're all along for the ride.
