Life You knew me as RONNEY McKEE. Excuse the photos. The BEFORE photo was in high school. The NOW photo was at a bar mitzva with a 1960s theme. Both are ugly as dirt! After graduation, I got a degree in photojournalism and sociology from Texas A&M-Commerce. I worked for too many years in the news media, most of it as an editor/writer at The Dallas Morning News. I was also on the board of directors of the Press Club of Dallas for a few years, and was the contest chairman of the 1977 Dallas Journalism (Katie) Awards. On July 31, 2001, I was part of the big telecom layoff. I was working as Senior Technical Writer/Bid Manager for Strategic Accounts at Ericsson, an enormous Swedish telecommunications company. After 24 months of unemployment and 9 months of severe underemployment (working at Brooks Brothers), I began working as Proposal/Media Coordinator for the Aircraft and Rail business units of Mark IV IDS - Luminator, in Plano. But, after 14 months working there, the company hit financial problems and downsized, eliminating my position. I then went to work in Sales Support for Primacy Relocation. After working there 14 months, I was let go because I could not move to the corporate office in Memphis, for family reasons.
