Ronald's Story
Synopsis
Born in Izmir Turkey (miltary installation), raised in Europe (Germany, UK, Belgium, Holland, Spain, France) then moved to Calif. when I was 5 because dad wanted me to attend American schools. Lived in Eureka and San Jose Calif until 14 when we moved to Kansas. Joined the Army reserve as a Pathfinder (combat air traffic controler) at 17. Moved back to Calif on my own at 19 and joined the USAF at 20. Married Heather Gunn that yr too 1983. Stationed at Anderson AFB Guam USA. When we returned to the US we had Diesta with us. Scott AFB/Keesler AFB/McClellan(Sacramento CA)/ and Beal AFB CA. Moved to Fremont CA for 10 yrs. At 31 yrs; unemployment ran out so being 1/2 Samoan and having many family members in Seattle who work on boats that fish in the Bering sea, I went to work on a crabbing boat, the "Kiska Enterprise", doing exactly what they show on TV with the "Most dangerous catch". ompared to the demands expected of me on that boat. My beloved wife of 24 yrs passed in an auto accident. Actually; a couple of knuckleheads stole a vehicle and as they were being chased by the authorities lost controle of their vehicle and hit the car Heather was in, head-on. Thank god all our children were with me here in Michigan. That was 2 yrs ago. I lost my buisness in California after 4 yrs; bigger shark eating the smaller shark. Decided to move here to Michigan to raise our children along with my brother William and his family. Always wanted to drive a semi truck so I went to school. I travel to Chicago/Detroit every working day but, I do get home daily. Sleeping in truck stops is not fun to me. I've been doing this for over 5 yrs. I'm a disabled vet, 50% mental; just kidding, a bad knee. I do have a @#$&+**#$@.
she's quite wonderful. Diesta (25) lives in Hollywood, Leah (20) is here, Megan (18) is in San Jose CA, Christian (15) is here. I seem to be rambling, have to go now. I hope everyone is doing well.
