Ronald's Story
Left Boise the week after graduation. Joined the Navy and took a audition for their music program. Was sent to San Diego for this. Passed the audition and was accepted into the Navy as a musician and sent to Washington D.C. for the music "basic" course. After graduation I went to the Navy Band on Guam. I spent 20 years in the music program played those drums over half the world on ships and shore. Played for dignitaries of all types, TV shows, ...Expand for more
USO tours, uncountable parades, schools, county fairs and much more. After I retired I played a short stent with The Circus Vargas Band. All in All I had a great time in music and life and would not have traded it for anything. However it took a toll on my hearing and went almost deaf. Thanks to the VA and the miracle of Cochlear Implants I can now hear almost normal. I now live in San Diego California play golf and go to Vegas, life is good.
