Ronald's Story
Left Albany after graduation and moved to Rainer (not by choice). Went to Lower Columbia College for two years and worked for Weyerhauser when the money ran out. Joined the Air Force in '66 and spent my time in Arizona, Viet Nam and Florida. Sang in several bands after getting out of the service. Married and moved to Florida where I graduated from Okaloosa-Walton Community College. My son was born just prior to graduation. After working for a couple of firms, returned to active duty, this time enlisted in the Army. Spent 19 years with the Army for a total of 22 years active service time. My last 8 years were spent in Alaska where I purchased a property and cabin, two-story 24 X 36, so not small. My Daughter was born in Texas the year before moving to Alaska. ALS and passed that fall. Entered Western Oregon University in 1999 and graduated in 2003. Returned to my home in Alaska, but there was little work available at that time, so moved to Florida to help my mother, and it seems I'm stuck here, but I'll break out first chance I get :D. Hope to be back in the Northwest as soon as possible, and then perhaps to the Philippines where my brother Randy has a home. Currently working part time as a Karaoke Jock, and part time bar tender, but hope to be able to quit everything soon and just travel. I became President of the Florida Orange Blossom Country Music Association in 2015 and have preformed in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Many places in Florida, Korea, Philippines, Okinawa, Alaska and Washington state.
