Ronald's Story

At SBHS I was very interested in Athletics. I participated in Football, Soccer and Track and Field( 4 years) Favorite subjects were Phys. Ed. and Social Studies. So I guess it would come as no shock that I wound up teaching Phys Ed.Driver Ed. Health and World History. Also coached Cross Country and Track for 28 years. I taught in the Parochial School System because I could never get a job in the public sector. I taught at Pope Pius in Passaic, Paterson Catholic (where I was also an Athletic Director) and my longest tenure was at Paramus Catholic which is right down the road from SBHS. In 2007 I accepted an early retirement buyout from Paramus Catholic. Since then I've worked for North Jersey Media Group and am now working in the field of Securi...Expand for more
ty. I work for a company called Securitas. My place of work is Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Pearl River.I live in Lodi so I didn't go far from Saddle Brook. I have nothing but fond memories of SBHS. I feel I received an excellent education there plus I was taught, coached and influenced by many great teachers there. My friends at Saddle Brook were Glen Shortino, Ed Velardi Jim Pellani Bruce Wohlrab Jack Kammerer Gerry Posci John Adamkovich and Manny Chirico. Also considered Bob Wilson to be a good friend. Bob was a great athlete. I also had a number of friends in the Class of 70. Guys who I ran Track with. I did attend our 40th Class Reunion at The Brownstone in Paterson. It was great seeing many great people who I hadn't seen in many years.

Ryan Young is what sports is about. A guy who accepts his role and does it to the best of his ability. What are his stats? Who cares . He played a big role on a team going in the Elite 8. Hopefully Duke will go further. If
