Ronald's Story
Have you ever said, "I never imagined it would be like this!" I am still saying that. Although I lost my wife of 50 years to Parkinson's disease on May 1, 2021, I have led a blessed life full of surprises. I have traveled to countries on mission trips I could never have imagined; Jan went with me for 22 trips out of the country on 3-6 week intervals excepting our trip to UK for one year. I had promised myself I would never leave Texas when I got out of the US Army back in 1969. So much for my promises to myself. I am blessed with 3 good kids and 8 beautiful ...Expand for more
grandchildren, and they all live in Texas. Church has always been close to my heart even when I didn't act like it. I really believe God led me through some troubled waters to cause my eyes to open to what is possible. I'll just try to keep them open now to see what comes next. It all started in Sherman High School and the old Grand Avenue Church of Christ. The old things are gone replaced by things even greater. My memories of Sherman remain as most formative. I have lived in Arlington, Tx since I got out of the Army. I guess I have finally settled down.
