Ronald's Story
I'm Ronald (Ron) June I was born in Lawndale California. We moved to Kaibeto Arizona in1970 thirty-five miles east of Page. My parents wanted to be closer to their parents so we returned to Arizona.
I commuted back and forth to school for eleven years (by bus). I know highway 98 like the back of my hands. I was probably like most students who just wanted to finish school and get on with life. I participated in such sports as wrestling,basketball and track. I enjoyed building trades, auto shop and metal arts in high school. I graduated from Page High School in 1981.
After graduation I worked for some building contractors and Kens Old West in Page. Those jobs were interesting, but no future for me. I attended school at BYU and Utah Valley University. I received an Associate science degree in diesel mechanic from UVU. I turned wrenches for 21 years. I married my wife Pam Martin from Ohio in 1991. We been married for 19 years and we have 6 children. We lived in Provo, Salt lake City, Millville, Laramie, Hyrum and Millville. We currently live in Millville Utah. I work as a diesel mechanic and my wife (author) is a stay at home mom. I served on the Planning and Zoning board and I currently serve on the Cache Vally transit district Board of trustees.
Lately I been wondering what happen to my former classmates and friends? What are they doing? Where are they? Its probably my age, because I been trying new things I never wanted to do. Like volunteering, teaching, learning, running 5k, 10k, 15k, and half marathons. I just finished running the Blacksmith fork freedom run 15k Saturday July 3. I'm currently training for the Top of Utah marathon in Logan Utah Sept 18, 2010. I'm also starting a part-time job getting involved in sales, retirement not that far off.
