Life
After high school I spent two years on active duty with the U. S. Naval Reserve. I was stationed in Rota Spain where I learned the language and enjoyed the culture of the very friendly Spanish people. After being discharged from the military I moved to Hickory, North Carolina and attended Lenoir-Rhyne college. I studied music education. I moved to New Orleans and continued my music studies at Tulane University. I married a girl from New Orleans but was divorced after 6 years. am an avid sailor and often take long cruises on my yacht. I often take solo trips up to 30 days. I'm sailing for 6 weeks in 2005. In 2007, I bought a new boat in Jacksonville, Florida and sailed it home. It took 30 days. Had to sail through the Florida Keys and then back up the west coast. It was a wonderful journey. This year, I'll take my boat to Clearwater to visit relativies. I sail alone because my wife isn't a sailor. I love the adventure. It's a great way to escape from the world and enjoy nature at it's purest. In 2008 I bought a motorcycle and have become an avid biker. I rode the Tennessee and Carolina mountains in Oct. 2009 and will do it again in May 2010. I enjoy hearing from old friends and acquaintances.
