Rondi's Story
During my junior year at Aviation our family left Manhattan Beach and moved to Apple Valley because my mom had cancer and my father took a different job so she could battle the big "C". In MB, I also attended La Marina and Foster Begg. During my senior year at Apple Valley High School, my mother died and 6 weeks later, my dad had a heart attack and died. I had just found out I was pregnant when they died, so I got married (to AVHS classmate Charles Peterson), graduated from HS, had a baby, and moved to Minnesota so Chuck could work for his father and the family business. We had two more children, but divorced in 1982. In 1991 I married Dean Hendrickson. Dean and I spend many special occasions with Chuck and his wife Sheila. I have three kids and eight grandkids. I have a sister, Carol, who still lives in CA. I've worked at Federal Premium Ammunition (ATK...Expand for more
) for 35 years and am the Distribution Manager. I love traveling, taking lots of pictures, scrapbooking, golf, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and spending time with family and friends.
Since moving to MN in 1969, I have lost contact with all the friends I grew up with in CA. Writing letters and calling long distance lasted for awhile, but soon all the connections were gone. I'd love to hear from any of you that remember me. I know it's been a long time, but I've often wondered what happened to so many of you.
I couldn't make it to the MB reunion because we were on an Alaskan cruise. I'm still not sure about the Apple Valley reunion in Las Vegas. I'll have to make that decision within the next few days.
All in all, life's good in MN. I can't believe it's been 40 years since we graduated. I guess it's true, time flies when you're having fun!
